2003 Toyota MR2 Mk3 Roadster Turbo

PostPosted: Mon Jun 20, 2005 12:21 am    Post subject: All Videos from Essex RR meet Reply with quote Reply with quote including images

Ok Folks,

Here are the videos - there's 60MB of compressed video from the day in 25 files - each one is around 2-3MB in size, so those on dialup please beware. The files are compressed using Windows Media to around 700kbit/s so the video is reasonable quality.

I've not had chance to co-ordinate things with Frank and get details of who owns which car and what mods they've done ( eg which exhaust is on the car ) - but feel free to post to this thread giving the details.

If you'd prefer not to have a video clip of your car up here let me know and I'll remove the link.

Frank's Rev5 conversion in Cosmos Blue was looking really nice, good power figures (305bhp) too:

http://www.imoc.co.uk/videos/EssexRR/Frank.wmv

There were some seriously tuned Turbos though - Mark and Mike leading the pack with close on 350bhp each:

There was also my Turbo'd Roadster:

When then decided to leak coolant on its first power run - I traced it back to a clip on a hose not being tight enough.

Mark Edwards stepped in and looked after the video camera for most of the afternoon whilst I was working on the Roadster outside ...

There was also Si Cook's Mk1 SC that produced 160bhp ..

And some interlopers - a Skyline and 200sx:

At the end of the afternoon having got the leak sorted, I did a second set of runs:

And here are the rest of the Mk2s:

There's thanks for you [Rolling Eyes]

What's your car reg then? The above registrations arent 100% accurate as I was reading them from blurred video frames.

OK - I've got the run on tape, video is fine but the sound didn't work out - I think the external mic I was using then couldn't handle the sound levels. The later runs were done using the built in mic for the camera.

I'll see if I can work something out and I'll post the clip up later...

OK, here they are:

The original clip with next to no sound:

I've managed to enhance the sound in this one:

Enjoy [Wink]
